Henrietta knew two things immediately: One, she wanted to wed at her parents’ home in the English countryside, once owned by Rolls-Royce founder Henry Royce. Two, she would forgo a wedding planner. “I’m not too much of a worrier and knew it’d all fall into place,” she says. Together with her mum and nieces, she spent weekends hand-painting flowers, disco balls, and ribbons on everything from invites to menus.
Henrietta turned to Emily Baxendale of Emily London for her handmade veil. “We picked a vintage lace for the trim all the way round,” she says. “When I tried it on, it felt like a true princess moment.” The entire outfit was pulled together with a pair of classic Manolo Blahniks. Moments before she left, Henrietta adorned herself in an array of borrowed and collected jewellery. Draped across her neck was a Tiffany & Co. cross belonging to her mother. On her hand were several separate and distinctive gemmed bands, including her grandmother’s engagement ring, a large aquamarine ring, and a pink coral ring her grandmother bought in Jamaica during the 1930s. She also pinned a mini pearl-and-enamel half-moon brooch onto her dress.
After their vows, Ronan carried Wolfe down the aisle while arm in arm with Henrietta as bells chimed above. Guests showered the newlyweds with confetti before they hopped in a vintage white Rolls-Royce Corniche to take a joyride down the winding country roads. In the rear window? A “just married” sign – hand-painted by her young bridesmaids.
