Hearts FC fans paid tribute to an Edinburgh man who tragically died shortly after his 30th birthday..
During the match against Livingston at Tynecastle on Saturday, fans erupted into applause for Aaron Coltart. The young man passed away on March 30 after he "fell asleep and never woke up". Aaron's heartbroken sister Vicky and nephew, Theo, organised the touching tribute, claiming it would have meant "so much to him".Speaking to Edinburgh Live ahead of the game, Vicky said: "Our brother Aaron was a Hearts fan, who tragically lost his life almost two weeks ago, a couple weeks after his 30th birthday. She said the idea wasn't completely her own, and that Theo was extremely close with Aaron and shared his passion for the game.
"Aaron was so proud of Theo and their shared passion for Hearts. Me and Aaron wanted to organise something like this for our dad, but it was closed games due to Covid-19. So I know Aaron would absolutely love that it could be happening for him". Top news stories today Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond. Sign up to our daily newsletter.
