Covid infection rates in UK ‘very encouraging’, says Neil FergusonEpidemiologist says he feels optimistic country will feel ‘a lot more normal by summer’ Encouraging- but not ‘overwhelming the NHS’ is not a marker of success. Illness and death is what counts- overwhelming healthcare is a bad situation made worse. Not if the basics of social distancing behaviour aren't reinforced and foreign travel is encouraged. Staycation, keep your distance, wash your hands and wear a mask whenever appropriate. Don't listen to experts who seem to know more about economics than epidemiology. Yet again the modellers admitting they were wrong, yet no challenge from the rag. If this was the Govt doing the modelling the rag would have shouted from the roof tops. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC
