The tablets have been praised by hay fever sufferers

Temperatures across the UK have continued to rise over recent weeks, but while everyone has been enjoying the warmer weather those with hay fever have been struggling with their symptoms.

The high-strength tablet was previously only available via prescription but it can now be purchased over-the-counter. Allevia is Fexofenadine Hydrochloride and is also sold under the brand name Treathay in the UK, and can be purchased for as little as £4. Many have taken to social media to praise the medication, with one person writing: "I have gone from having the worst hayfever you will ever see anyone have in your whole life, to feeling like I’ve never had it. Allevia, you have cured me."

Some have spoken about how difficult it is to currently find Allevia in shops, and had even noticed that on Amazon the price of a box had jumped from around £7 up to £20.
