The streaming giant is losing subscribers despite huge hits like Squid Game and Bridgerton.

Trying to watch some of Netflix's more recent series all the way through, says Paul Weiner, feels a bit like cramming frankfurters down your throat in a hotdog eating contest.

Mr Weiner is one of the hundreds of thousands who have already cancelled, prompting a moment of high drama for the company this weekPeople have begun to ask whether Netflix's star, as the world's largest streaming service, is beginning to fade.Paul Weiner has cancelled his Netflix subscription as he was not a fan of its original shows

"With companies now taking their shows off the service and putting them on their own streaming platforms, Netflix faces the problem of having to fill the gap." Mark Mulligan, media analyst at MIDiA Research agrees, pointing to a trend for "savvy switchers" to skip between services.

I had to change my Netflix from high tier to medium tier. It was over $20 a month here in Australia. Definitely not worth it.

Also Netflix have lost about 700,000 subs from Russia. So price hikes, ban on sharing passwords and adverts can also be attributed to Putin too.

go woke go broke

Netflix is BORING. One good movie perhaps every three to six months.

Obviously as they got involved in splurging vast sums on Ginge and Whinge Markel they needed to raise prices. If my price through Sky goes up, then Netflix subscription is cancelled!

Nah it will be back stronger

I've never used it! I can't be the only one either. However, I can see why people have cancelled a regular subscription during these economic hard times. After all, its a luxury!

No we have seen enough of woke and kiddie fiddling Netflix cuties

Email this morning from netflix informing of another subscription hike... 'We’re updating our prices to bring you more great entertainment. Your monthly price will change to £10.99 on 22 May 2022.' A price rise is now a price update 😂

Or are people looking at their bills and making cuts where they can? People are broke. This is an unnecessary spend.

Damn price hikes! 😉

Don’t know and I’m sure millions and millions of people in the U.K. let alone the world are not really fussed whether it has or it hasn’t more important issues to worry about
