Harry Maguire has said he was disappointed to be dropped from the England squad after he was convicted in Greece

On Tuesday Southgate initially selected Maguire for next month’s games against Iceland and Denmark, citing how the defender was denying the charges and how discussions with Maguire had convinced him of the 27-year-old’s innocence.

Best decision a football manager has made in a long time. If Harry was scared he was being kidnapped surely he'd be worried about leaving home. Or has this part of his story changed. The version of events changes more than the wind.

Amazing how many trolls on here who only see what they want to see.

Maguire clearly has a problem with the truth.

Don't behave like a dick then.

That why no title for England, since a long, need soccers whos likes to win

What's the world coming to when overpaid children can't behave in the typical Great British tradition of drunken violent arrogance abroad, the consequences of which can be paid to make go away, and then not allowed to play his game?

Trying to portray himself as the victim in all of this is pathetic. He should have stayed in Greece and argued his case rather than leaving it to his lawyers to clear up the mess.

I still haven't heard him uttering an apology, or taking responsible for his actions. Like so many, he's sorry for himself because he got caught and faces the consequences, not because he has true feelings of remorse.

There is a thick-headed arrogance and petulance to Maguire that English journalists never wish to recognise.

Disappointed? Wait until Solskjaer make his move, then you’ll know what disappointed is

Y'all dont understand the context before putting him under the box. He's disappointed at himself and the situation and that has nothing to do with the coach removing him from his team.

Shouldn't be a lieing toad then

Looks like he needs a slightly longer vacation in Greece

I'm amazed he's in the team anyway.😂

Having just survived a kidnapping attempt by the state secret military police on the notorious 3rd world crime capital of the world that is Mykonos, it seems odd that he feels ready to even leave his house let alone play football. Take time for yourself Harry.

Well. after all he's rich and an Inger-lund footballer...oh wait.

Doesn't Gareth know who he is

Harry Maguire needs to behave like a f**king professional

Unlike most England fans? 🤔

Harry Maguire set for Greek brawl re-trial after appeal lodged and conviction quashed, say Man UtdHARRY MAGUIRE is set for a retrial after lodging his appeal against his conviction for a Mykonos brawl. A Manchester United spokesman insisted their skipper now has no conviction or criminal record… If you punch a cop then try to bribe him to let you go whilst telling them that you are filthy rich does not entitle you to a retrial, it would serve him right if he gets time inside for time wasting. It's a case of Man United waving their monetary clout, not innocence or guilt.
