The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have "contacted" the Prince and Princess of Wales "privately" after the news of Kate's cancer diagnosis was shared on Friday, 22 March.
The future Queen bravely shared her diagnosis in a video message shared online and on the news, following months of speculation surrounding the Princess' health and whereabouts. Kate, 42, announced in January that she had undergone surgery on her abdomen and at the time said she was not being treated for cancer.
And now it has been revealed by ITV's Royal editor Chris Ship, that the Duke of Sussex, who lives in Montecito, California with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, "has reached out to his brother". Last night, the Sussexes released a statement about their sister-in-law's cancer diagnosis. Meghan and Harry, who are thought to have found out about Kate's cancer at the same time as everyone else, shared a message saying: "We wish health and healing for Kate and the family, and hope they are able to do so privately and in peace."
