When paramedics arrived, they found Maureen's warm coffee still on the table, clothes in the washing machine to be laid out and her gardening to do list yet to be finished.
Speaking to the Sun Online, Maureen’s niece Gina revealed her grief at losing her much-loved aunt who had spent her life travelling the world as an airline hostess. The mum said she believed the thieves had killed the OAP, saying: “She would be still alive if they hadn’t of broken into that house.” The mum said she was grateful Maureen had been able to at least call police, with the operator on the phone with her and ambulance quick to respond.
The second suspect, who also entered the house, wore a long-sleeved top with dark patches. He wore a hood up, possibly with fur trim on hood, with dark trousers and light-coloured trainers. "Someone will recognise these burglars from CCTV or from a change in their behaviour and I am appealing to the families and partners of these individuals to help Maureen’s family get the justice they deserve.
