Hamilton Accies edged past rock bottom Edinburgh City as Akheem Rose netted for the sixth time in five games to keep them on track for a second place finish in League One.
Accies boss John Rankin named the same side which thrashed Kelty with Rose leading the line again in a 4-2-3-1 formation. And Accies came even closer in 27 minutes with two quick-fire chances. Ben Williamson unleashed a powerful drive from 25-yards which had Ruairidh Adam beaten all ends up in the City goal, however, his effort struck the inside of the post. The rebound fell perfectly for Reghan Tumilty lurking in the six-yard box, but Adam recovered superbly to spring to his feet and clear the effort off the line.
In 57 minutes, Rose got in behind the City defence, cut back and tried to fire at goal, only for his effort to deflect wide. Ben Williamson was forced off in 75 minutes after picking up a knock and that led to the introduction of Mikey Hewitt, as Accies searched for a clinching goal.
