The long-awaited feature
will allow players to team up through the game’s story mode from the week of July 11. Up to four players will be able to don Master Chief’s helmet, regardless of which Xbox console or PC. Furthermore, the team has confirmed that progress will be shared between all players, so any stuff you unlock and earn in co-op will be retained when you return to solo play.. You’ll get a warning should you reach 800 and then killed and respawned at your nearest teammate at 1000m.
Upgrades and cores, meanwhile will be tracked separately per player. While everyone in the Fireteam gets credit when one person collects it, you’ll spend it how you want. That way, you’ll have your own independent ‘build’ of Master Chief in that save slot. Finally, the test flight will also bring along the Mission Replay feature, letting you go back and mop up any collectibles and acheivements. Speaking of, there’ll be new achievements to earn too.
