Tuesday's episode of the BBC show ended with a tribute to the TV chef, who sadly passed away at 66 following a brave battle against cancer. The star's tragic passing came in the midst of the show's latest series, The Hairy Bikers Go West.
They were delighted by the cuisine they uncovered in the city - which has historic links to trade routes brining a range of flavours to the UK. As the episode that aired on Tuesday came to a close, Dave became reflective on the foods he had discovered while travelling around the UK - and also of the fresh memories he and Si had created together by making the show.He ended the episode by opening up about his hopes for the future and said he felt optimistic for the UK food scene.
His words hit harder as the news of his tragic death broke just two weeks previously. And the very end of the episode included a tribute card in honour of the star. The credits rolled and then an image of Dave was displayed along with a statement reading: "In loving memory of our friend, Dave Myers. 1957 - 2024."
Another wrote: "Never commented at the time but this pair have been such an inspiration and given such entertainment. Every time I use my Hairy Bikers frying pan I will think of you, Dave! I hope he enjoyed his life as much as I enjoyed those little 1 hour windows into it on the tellybox."
