Haaland replacement, Dias return - Man City predicted line-up vs Brighton

Manchester City are back in Premier League action this evening as they take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium.

Pep Guardiola confirmed on Wednesday that striker Erling Haaland would not be available for the clash with the Seagulls. Explaining the Norwegian's absence, the Catalonian head coach said: "Erling is not ready for tomorrow. "It's not a big issue but he's not allowed for this game." Having not started at Wembley Stadium, Dias is backed to return with Nathan Ake being given the rest albeit it is entirely possible he replaces Akanji at left-back.City have no other choice but to push for a win against Brighton so keeping the duo of Foden and De Bruyne together in the centre seems like it makes the most sense. Rodri, when fit, remains undroppable.Haaland's injury means Alvarez seems destined to start in the centre-forward role.
