The Motor Neurone Disease Team for MND Research at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has raised £4,129.25 from their eighth annual charity walk.Money raised from the walk went towards specialist equipment that will offer MND patients more independence and enhanced quality of life during their illness. This includes state-of-the art feeding equipment, arm supports and rests, and pager switch systems.

The group finished at the scout hut in Broughton where Professor Chhetri – who heads up the Lancashire and South Cumbria MND Care and Research Centre at Royal Preston Hospital – thanked all who took part.
