I don’t know who initially proposed “2m distance rule”, but I think that if everybody in this earth must take 2m distance with other persons/animals, we need another earth to accommodate all of people/animals.

'Growing calls' is essentially a few Tory backbenchers. Scrap the 2m rule for the economy is not an effective way to stop the virus spreading. Basing health decisions on whether its good for business is worrying.

Really? 2m is nothing. It's not a hard rule to following. Here in Japan been doing it since Feb 29th. 2m rule is still being upheld in all the shops for queuing and in banks etc. Only difference is there is no lockdown here like there is in the UK

I am not sure that the use of the word rule in this instance is correct. While 2m is in the guidance it is not in the regulations so is not legally enforceable. If people want to stay closer than 2m I am not sure that anyone can do anything about it.
I'm continuing with social distancing rules, I actually enjoy them. Too many ugly people in Britain and the masks and disntancing are a great comfort in that respect.

Scrap the useless lockdown while you're at it, too. This was always the trick though. Place so many silly restrictions in place that people get bogged down fighting them, and forget the bigger picture. End the lockdown entirely. Does more damage than it helps
