Grassroots Tory group urges members to deselect centrist MPs

Tory MP Alicia Kearns Tobias Ellwood and Laura Trott are among the MPs the group is calling on activists to deselect ; ;The move marks the latest attempt by right-wing pressure groups to force the party further to the right in a bid to see off thewhich is linked to Tory peer Lord Cruddas, the founder of the CDO, is urging members to write to their local associations to remove the “dripping wets” from the party.

“I personally know of some brilliant Conservatives who have put themselves forward as candidates only to be rejected in favour of dripping wets. The website even provides members with a letter template that they can use to send to their local associations to make it easier to oust centrist MPs.
