Protesters at UK ports call for P&O Ferries boss to quit after sacking 800 staffProtests have begun at UK ports after 800 workers were sacked from P&O Ferries as calls grow for bosses to quit. It's a lost cause, take the money and move on. Boycott of passenger/car crossings will have a short term impact, freight already have their contract costs factured in. They won't want to go elsewhere and pay more. That doesn't mean I agree with the action, just that I get it. The head of P&O has said he intentionally broke the law and would do so again, therefore he must be disqualified from holiding a position of trust such as a company director because he is not a right and proper person.
