Ellie Rose Harris, just 15 months old, was diagnosed with Brugada syndrome – a condition which causes a disruption of the heart’s normal rhythm.
Joanne performed chest compressions and rescue breaths for six minutes before little Ellie opened her eyes – only for her heart to stop again. Ellie’s worried parents Matthew Harris, 25, and Rachel Hillier, 23, are now delighted with her progress and calling her a ‘medical miracle’.Mum Rachel said: ‘It took five shocks to get her back. We just had to stand and watch. We were devastated but hopeful of getting our little girl back.’
