Gran Fondo UCI Cycling World Championships maps, route and event dates

There are multiple events taking place over the course of the next two weeks with cycling's biggest race taking place across Glasgow.

But one race that is just days away is the Grand Fondo. But what is it? Here is what you need to know.Gran Fondo, which translates as Big Race, is a long-distance mass participation event that celebrates competitive cycling for everyone, not just the professionals, according to CyclingWorldChamps. The Medio Fondo and the Gran Fondo Road Race will be taking place in Perth and Kinross on August 4 whilst the Gran Fondo Time Trial will happen in Dundee and Angus on August 7.
