Good Morning Britain thanks viewers as ITV show celebrates 10th anniversary

Good Morning Britain has expressed gratitude to its viewers as it marks a decade on air. The ITV breakfast show celebrated the milestone by posting a video on Instagram featuring presenters Susanna Reid, Charlotte Hawkins and weather presenter Laura Tobin reacting to a clip from the first episode.

Accompanying the video on the GMB Instagram account, the show wrote: "Thank you for spending the last 10 years with us! " The morning programme, which has broadcast over 2,500 episodes since its inception, will continue its anniversary celebrations on Monday's show. She shared a moment when Shephard offered words of encouragement just before they went live, advising her to "enjoy every second" of the debut broadcast because it was their singular opportunity to launch the programme.
