Forecasters have said this stunning light show will continue into Saturday, May 11 and even well into the morning of Sunday, May 12.The aurora borealis was visible over much of the country as a rare geomagnetic storm hit earth - allowing people from around the world to catch a glimpse of the event which has not been seen on this scale since 2003.
