ICYMI: The weekend will see soaring temperatures as well as thunderstorms

The Met Office has issued a weather warning for Glasgow which is set to span across a two day period.Beginning on Sunday , weather forecasters have said that the city should experience a thunderstorm with the warning coming into force at 12pm and ending at 6am the following day.The Met Office has said that whilst some areas of the UK will remain dry, "hit-and-miss thunderstorms" will develop Sunday and Sunday night, and "may bring disruption" in certain places.

In their weather warning they explain: "During Sunday afternoon, cloudier conditions and areas of rain are expected to develop across parts of Northern Ireland and Scotland. A few places seem likely to see heavy downpours and thunderstorms, which could bring up to around 50 mm of rain falling in 2-3 hours leading to some disruption. These may last through the night in places. Hail and frequent lightning are potential additional hazards.
