Plans were unveiled this week for the transformation of the entrance to Glagow’s Royal Concert Hall, with the iconic steps which mark the top of Buchanan Street facing removal.

Since the venue was opened in 1990 the steps have become a familiar gathering point, whether for sunny afternoons or furious protest.

The blaze was sparked in the early hours, with around 50 families evacuated from their homes on Kent Road and Cleveland Street, while BBC television vans brought to broadcast the boxing were hurriedly disconnected. Critics noted that pedestrians would face walking across an elevated and open square in Glaswegian weather, and a lack of competition to Mr Jury’s £4m - £62.3m in today’s money - scheme also caused consternation, with the head of the project suggesting sniffily that “90 per cent of people don’t notice what buildings look like”.

Live music: How buying concert tickets could be made betterConcerts can be life-affirming. Buying tickets is the opposite. Here are eight possible solutions. Non-genuine concert goers using bots to snap up all the tickets as soon as they go on sale then resold on other sites at a vastly increased price. I don't know for sure but it could be because people are ripping off genuine concert goers for their own personal gain. 🤷‍♂️ It’s kind of easy to fix which is the most jarring. Stop ticket resales by asking users to enter real details they can’t easily change. Unless a bot owner wants to watch Taylor swift 4 times, they won’t bother. UEFA has been doing this for years, most people get tickets You’re saying this like it’s a new problem. Ticketmaster have been pricks for as long as I can remember
