Glasgow police have issued a warning this weekend as Celtic fans look set to descend on the city centre following the Hoops title victory.
The champions host St Mirren at Celtic Park on Saturday at 12.30pm and will receive the league trophy at the game. Following on from previous seasons, fans are expected to travel into the Merchant City afterwards and cops have vowed a plan is in place to 'maintain' public safety, the Daily Record reports.
Cops confirmed there were 10 arrests for a number of other offences including assault, acts of public disorder and police assault following the event.A spokesperson for the force said: "Glasgow city centre is likely to be much busier than normal on Saturday, 18 May, as it is anticipated that large crowds may gather to celebrate the Scottish Premiership title win by Celtic Football Club."
