Amey is undertaking work on behalf of Transport Scotland to upgrade the Vehicle Restraint System (VRS) on the eastbound carriageway between Junctions 13 and 14.

A busy section of the M8 in Glasgow is to close overnight for 'essential barrier upgrades' from next month.

Amey is undertaking work on behalf of Transport Scotland to upgrade the Vehicle Restraint System on the eastbound carriageway between Junctions 13 and 14. Officials plan to close one lane between the hours of 8pm and 6am each night. However, Amey say that the work is weather dependent and may be 'cancelled or rescheduled if weather conditions are not favourable'.
