POLICE divers have found the body of a three-year-old girl – who disappeared while watching TV – in a dam, just 500ft from her home.
The little girl was reported missing from her home at Cootharaba, near Noosa, at about 3.30pm local time on Monday. Penny added that: “Elenore was deaf in her left ear, so when she didn’t want to hear people she’d just cover her ears and she could block out all noise.” Family, friends and volunteers conducted a torchlight search on the property, while helicopters and an official search team scoured the surrounding area including a dam, on Monday evening.Scores of people, including volunteers and firefighters, joined the desperate search for missing Elenorethat 72 fire and rural personnel had also been on the scene since 5pm on Monday.
