The party said around £91bn annually would come from borrowing while £9bn would be raised through a 5% hike in corporation tax.

The Greens have vowed to turn the UK carbon neutral by 2030.

They say they want to build 100,000 energy-efficient homes each year, revolutionise transport infrastructure, roll out renewable energy in Britain and create hundreds of thousands of low carbon jobs.Co-leader Sian Berry told supporters in Bristol that the election was"about so much more" than Brexit, pledging to place the climate emergency at the forefront of the party's priorities.

Ms Berry said"some things are even bigger than Brexit, this must be the climate election, the future won't get another chance".
