Paul Gascoigne describes 'year of hell' before trial

Ex-England footballer Paul Gascoigne says he suffered a"year of hell" before being cleared of a charge of sexually assaulting a woman on a train.

He was accused of"forcefully and sloppily" kissing a passenger on a York to Newcastle service in August 2018. The 52-year-old told the court he gave the woman a"peck on the lips" to"boost her confidence" after he heard a male passenger call her overweight."I've been in trouble but nothing like this," he said."I worried people would stop me going down the high street and shout abuse at me, or stop me from being around their kids.

Perhaps he should have just left her alone then.

Yes having to drink all that stuff and pay fancy lawyers to discredit members of the public it's hard being a fallen superstar

He’s still a big cry baby, I see. Guilty of sexual assault or not, any guy who thinks it okay to kiss complete strangers because he feels like it is an utter plonker.

Still a cry baby.

Mayb he shud consider his behaviour & change it. There is no scenario that kissing a stranger in a train w/ no prior communication is acceptable & isn't unwanted sexual contact.

He is not the victim JusticeForWomen

n o t A S H E L L I S H a YEAR as THAT endured by IRISH RUGBY INTERNATIONALS P a d d y JACKSON & S t u a r t OLDING DRUMMED o u t of IRISH RUGBY after being A C Q U I T T E D of R A P E

What about the hell his family go thru with his constant boozing. He's an embarrassment and worse than that a family donated their dead relatives liver to him and still he drinks. Selfish man is a lost cause who selfishly continues to drink without a care in the world for others.

Surprised he remembers yesterday, let alone a whole year.🍺🍾🧉🍷🍸🥃

So sorry for the lady. Can't even go out and travel without being hassled by weirdos... Hope she's ok and can get past this.

Terrible result for women. And now he wants us all to feel sorry for him.

Bum.

So any random bloke on a train can kiss a woman he doesn't know and that's okay? Really?!?

Great news ! Justice served.

you dont recall the year youve spent it drunk --sado

WHAT'S IT GOT TO DO WITH YO

Hes a waste of space. Doesn't deserve the publicity

Get those teeth man.

So any guy can sit beside any girl, force himself on her and it's ok as long as he thinks she's 'fat' ?

Sorry bollocks to him he’s had enough chances. 😞

He's not the victim. How dare he force a kiss on another person? He crossed the line. Don't give him any attention

Thank heavens... This was a joke.
