Gareth Southgate is set to ring the changes for England's Euro 2024 qualifier with Italy, with only one player set to keep their place from the Australia win.
It was a largely second-string side from Southgate, who will now bring in his big guns for the clash with the European champions.Jordan Henderson, now playing for Al Ettifaq in Saudi Arabia, captained England on Friday but was booed off when leaving the pitch.He told a press conference;"His role on and off the pitch is phenomenally important. He's taken the likes of Bellingham under his wing. He's a role model for the group in every part of his work.
It should be noted, however, that other reports claim Henderson will be on the bench for the game and Kalvin Phillips will get the nod.But as per the newspaper, Southgate is set to make ten changes - starting in goal with Jordan Pickford returning to the sticks.
