Looking back now, I don’t know what they were expecting to achieve by buying Activision Blizzard. They can’t afford to make the games exclusive and it’s clear by this point that nothing is going to make a difference to Game Pass.

So I think a good way to switch it up would be going more sleek sci-fi again. They haven’t done that in a while – the whole cynical, Apple style laboratory set-up – and yet it’s kind of important to the whole Resident Evil look and feel. I’d welcome a stronger horror atmosphere but one thing I hope they do is get back to more of a survival angle. It was like it was raining ammo in Village but to me Resident Evil should be the opposite of that.
