'Game changing' way to dry clothes without putting dryer on

People are ditching heated airers for a "game changing" alternative as millions of people across the UK try to use less energy amid soaring prices.

The Express reports that one woman took to a Facebook group for fans of cleaning guru Mrs Hinch to find out which was better at drying clothes - a heated airer or a dehumidifier. The woman asked: "Hiya, heated airer or dehumidifier with standard airer? Not sure which one to invest in as costs roughly the same."READ MORE: DVLA rule means millions of drivers face £1,000 fines

Most comments on the post favoured using a dehumidifier over a heated airer. One Facebook user said: "Dehumidifier 100%. I tried a heated airer got fed up having to move the clothes around."
