Full list of final 41 Wilko stores that will close for good this weekend

It comes after the brand has been trading for nearly 100 years. Wilko confirmed that all of its 400 stores across the country will close after it fell into administration two months ago.

From this weekend, only 41 stores are left open, with all the last ones standing closing at the same time on Sunday, October 8. Meanwhile, a total of 71 Wilko stores were bought by Poundland while the first 10 rebranded shops reopened last month. Poundland confirmed that 200 former Wilko staff were offered jobs in the rescued stores with more Wilko staff expected to be taken as it continues to reopen more locations. Austin Cooke, managing director of Poundland, said: “I know from meeting our new colleagues from Wilko, how delighted they were to welcome customers old and new back to their store last weekend – and that’s inspiring us to keep the pace up and bring the amazing value we promise to more high streets this Saturday.
