Vernon Carus beer and gin festival features eight local distilleries and several breweries

The Penwortham sports club which played a starring role in Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams will host a beer and gin festival, showcasing the best of local produce this Bank Holiday weekend.

Headlining the even, on May 24/25/26 is Penwortham's Fairham Distillery, with three of their gins on offer over the weekend. However there will be gins on offer from eight distilleries - each within 15 miles of the Penwortham.Admission is free however drinks tokens can be bought once you have purchased your festival glass. Throughout the weekend there will be music and sporting events including cricket matches and entertainment from local artists.
