Four bank frozen accounts as part of operation targeting the West Belfast UDA

Police have frozen four bank accounts containing more than £40,000 as part of an operation targeting the West Belfast UDA.

An Account Freezing order was used to freeze the bank accounts which belonged to one person and contained a total of £41,428 for six months as part of an ongoing investigation. Detective Inspector Corrigan said: “The origins of the frozen money will be subject to an investigation and, if shown to be criminal proceeds, the money will be subject to a forfeiture order.“Our investigation continues, and we rely upon your support. I would encourage anyone with information on these criminal activities, to contact our detectives on 101.
