Former Hibs ace Josh Doig set for Serie A lifeline

The former Hibernian defender was part of the Sassuolo team that was relegated to Italy's second tier at the weekend.

Despite Sassuolo's relegation, Doig's stock remains high and there could well be plenty of interest in his services this summer.The striker will join the Rugby Park side upon the expiry of his contract at Livingston next month. “I am really happy to get it all done, I am over the moon to be here," the 25-year-old said. “The manager was very influential in getting me here, I’ve known him for years, after talking to him I feel like this is the best place for me to be.
