The collision, which occurred on June 18 last year, claimed the lives of both father and daughter at the scene. During the inquest at Grimsby Town Hall, it emerged that it was likely Oria was already deceased before the crash. A pathologist cited several indicators supporting this but noted the exact cause of the toddler's death could not be conclusively determined.
The father, who had a history of anxiety and depression, was struggling with the breakdown of his relationship. There was no sign that he braked before the crash, and a note found on Ashley's computer at his home detailed his plan to take his own life and that of his daughter on Fathers Day last June.
