Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon has tyres slashed on eve of Old Firm derby

The ex-Hoops boss shared an image of the incident on social media and revealed that it isn't the first time it's happened to him. The picture shows a large cut at the bottom of his motor's tyre as it is shown completely deflated as a result.Writing on Linkedin, Lennon, 52, said: "Tyres slashed again on the eve of a Celtic vs Rangers game. Happens far too often. The timing of it isn't lost on me.

He became manager in 2010 following the departure of Tony Mowbray. Under Lennon's management, the club went on to win three Scottish league championships, two Scottish Cups and qualified for the group stage of the Champions League twice and the knockout stages once. He left in 2014 before returning in 2019. Lennon left Celtic in February 2021. He also had a spell as manager of Hibernian from 2016 to 2019.

He is now working as a pundit for various media outlets including Sky Sports and PLZ Soccer. During his time as a manager, he was sent bullets in the post following an Old Firm derby and was also targeted by Rangers fans during matches. In March, we told how police were investigating reports over his teenage son being taunted with a "bullets in the post" threat while playing for St Mirren.
