Florida signs bill into law banning protests outside homes

A rally in Jacksonville, Florida on 4 May 2022.Protests outside homes are now banned in Florida after the state’s rightwing Republican governor,DeSantis, who is both an ally and potential 2024 rival to Donald Trump, is a rising star in Republican circles as he courts the party’s rightwing base and eyes a possible White House run.

The law seems to even ban protests in front of the governors mansion, which would be quite the affront to the 1st amendment. It's likely to be tossed by the courts for its broad language.

Good.

Florida has a dictator wannabe.

Would be a bit much to have people harassing me at home. Could be quite sinister and threatening actually.

Time to step up the protesting outside of homes! Republicans don't give 2 sh*ts about the constitution.
