The Dug N Duck, in Millerston, is now welcoming customers after being forced to shut down due to being badly damaged by a fire last November.
Following that, a renovation plan was put in place to restore the pub which would see a new roof be installed, a top-to-toe redecoration inside and out and new furniture, to give it a more modern look. Matt Dyson, Star Pubs & Bars Regional Operations Director, said: “It’s great to be reopening The Dug N Duck and giving the community somewhere to come together again to socialise as well as to celebrate events like Hallowe'en and Christmas.
“The prominent location, renovation and the business model on offer will, I am sure, attract interest, but we really want locals to get involved and spread the word to help us find their new long-term landlord.Plans for the family-friendly pub include a menu of affordable pub classics including a children’s menu, live entertainment, live sports and pub games like pool, and darts.Outside the beer garden has seating for a further 20 and there’s parking for six cars.
