First look as Glasgow's House of Gods hotel opens in the Merchant City

A luxury hotel group has opened its much-anticipated opulent new venue in Glasgow. House of Gods confirmed it is now officially welcoming guests at its luxurious new hotel on the corner of Glassford Street and Wilson Street. The major renovation has been three years in the making with the hotel set to be one of the most luxurious stays in the city with the hotel's lobby bar consisting of hand-painted 24 karat-gold.

Döner Haus has announced its shock closure leaving Glasgow foodies "gutted". The German restaurant shared the sad news to social media after seven years on the city's West Nile Street.Police Scotland objected to Sabad Mehmood's bid to renew his licence due to his domestic assault conviction and Glasgow's licensing committee decided to reject the application.
