Firefighters desperately removed gas cylinders from a burning recycling plant after it went up in flames last night.
Crews were worried the heat would cause them to explode, making the roaring blaze even worse with dangerous blasts., had 400 tonnes of waste in it when the fire erupted, providing plenty of fuel for the spreading inferno. It got so big that 15 engines and 100 firefighters had to be sent out after the first reports came in at 11.40pm.They were used outside the building as the fire made it too difficult and dangerous to get inside.Firefighters worked through the night and the blaze was under control by 3am
The area where the plant is located is quite industrial, so the building was mostly surrounded by other factories and warehouses. But locals still heard sirens and some flocked to social media to check neighbours were safe.
