Bus services in Leeds at their ‘worst for 40 years’, First chief admitsThe managing director said that pay, shift patterns and 'negativity' from passengers had all contributed to a staff shortage. Tackling anti social behaviour both on and off the bus might help.A colleague of mine was spat at recently. Windows get broken too. Management do little about this. A shrug & they carry on. I'm getting out after 24 years. Far too much aggro for not enough reward. Shift patterns are also horrible. Sometimes I finish at 7.30-8pm then I'm back as early as 0530. How is that any kind of life? We are names & numbers that are flogged to death daily and no one cares about us yet we are integral to the service. In my experience, passengers are also frustrated because buses continually drop off the digital boards at the bus stops and the app. Four No 16s in 40 mins dropped the other day and I had to get a taxi so I didn't miss a hospital appointment.
