Emergency services have rushed to the scene on Cathcart Road with multiple Scottish Fire and Rescue appliances in attendance.
Images from the scene also show a number of Police Scotland vehicles in attendance at the scene as well as ambulance services.The road is currently cordoned off to all traffic and pedestrians. There are currently no reports of any injures following the incident.One eyewitness told Glasgow Live: “There are lots of firemen near Glasgow doors. They shut off part of Cathcart Road. They were also running up to a water point on Dixon Road with hoses.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.36am on Wednesday, December 7 to reports of a building on fire at Cathcart Road, Glasgow. “Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the scene where a fire is affecting a ground floor commercial property within a four-storey tenement building.Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
