The final Merseyside Derby at Goodison Park, scheduled for Saturday December 7, is among the key dates for Everton in the 2024/25 season, their final campaign before moving to their new stadium.
Everton are set to move some two miles to a new 52,888 capacity stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock for the start of the 2025/26 season but before that their last trip ‘across Stanley Park’ to Anfield will take place on Wednesday April 2. Everton’s Boxing Day fixture is away to Manchester City who last season became the first club in English football history to be crowned champions four times in a row while the Blues then finish the calendar year at home to Nottingham Forest on December 29. The opening fixture of 2025 for Sean Dyche’s men is a trip to Bournemouth on January 4 with Goodison Park’s first Premier League game of its final year a midweek game against Aston Villa on Tuesday January 14.
The final game at Goodison Park is set to be Everton versus Southampton on May 18 – so long as no fixtures are rearranged after it – before the Blues finish the 2024/25 Premier League season against Newcastle United at St James’ Park on May 25.
