'Fewer Brits choosing EU countries for holidays'

Fewer British holidaymakers have booked a summer holiday inside the European Union this year amid continuing Brexit uncertainty, Thomas Cook says.

Sales of the Japanese yen were up 12% so far this year compared to last, while sales of the Indonesian rupiah have increased by 9%, Post Office Travel Money said.

Too many problems going abroad as government gives out travel warnings. Ok it can happen at home but why go to another country and take a big risk. Countries that are ‘safer’ are more expensive to holiday in now.

I think there are lots of great places within the UK that don't get visited enough, for example the West Country and the National Railway Museum in York. I have always gone to the Continent to work, rather than sit on a beach or waste money on brick and mortar.
