Festival dedicated to The Smith's bassist Andy Rourke will take place

A festival dedicated to the 'life and work' of the late The Smith's bassist Andy Rourke is set to take place at a legendary Manchester venue this weekend.

On Friday night, the event will kick off with a crowd-pleasing setlist of Smiths favourites from tribute band The Smiths Utd. Attendees can also listen to a discussion with Andy’s brothers Phil and Chris, before Inspiral Carpets singer Stephen Holt closes the night. As well as singers Keeley Moss and Jenny Drag on both nights, and further singers to be announced, ‘Rourke’ also features members of the New York band Sadie, who supported Andy on tour in the US when he was in the band Specter with Mike Joyce.
