A Ferguslie thug has been jailed after hitting a man over the head with a can causing a 1.5 centimetre cut.
Flora Napier, fiscal depute, told Paisley Sheriff Court: “Around 2.35am on Saturday, September 16, the accused exited the common close of 126 Ferguslie and began to walk towards his home address. The dedicated team of experienced journalists, responsible for the publication of the award-winning Express, will focus on breaking news, day and night, across Renfrewshire’s towns and villages.
“A short time later, the accused walked back down Ferguslie and entered his home – Dickson was at this time receiving medical treatment from members of the public due to bleeding heavily from his head wound. “He was taken to the accident and emergency department at the Royal Alexandra Hospital and medically assessed by staff who deemed he did not require medical treatment.Dickson was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he had an emergency head CT scan. The head wound was described as a “significant injury” consisting of the 1.5cm laceration.
