The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission ( FERC ) has asked Venture Global LNG to explain why it keeps details of its Calcasieu Pass LNG facility confidential. This comes after complaints from customers, including BP, about the lack of transparency regarding the status of the Louisiana plant. BP, Shell, Repsol, Eni, and Edison are foundational buyers of Venture Global's LNG and have paid for the construction of the facility.
