Fears Cyprus serial killer on the loose after two women found dead and six-year-old girl vanishes

A SUSPECTED serial killer has been arrested by cops in Cyprus after the bodies of two women were found dumped down a mine shaft while a little girl remains missing.

Police on the island suspect a military offcicer, 35, is a sadistic mass murderer who is behind the deaths of the two women and a six-year-old childA flooded mineshaft where two female bodies were found, outside Mitsero village near the capital Nicosia The bodies were found within the space of a week at an abandoned mine about 19 miles west of capital Nicosia.

One of the woman found has been identified as a 39-year-old from the Philippines who vanished in May last year along with her daughter, six. A second body was found on Saturday evening and is believed to be a 28-year-old, also from the Philippines, who was also reported missing in 2018.“This is a form of crime unprecedented for the norms of Cyprus. It’s premature to assess the extent of this crime,” police chief Zacharias Chrysostomou told reporters.
