'It was my son who spotted it – he said 'You can hear water',' said Dr Hindmarsh, who also has a daughter Emilia, 13, with his wife, Dr Maria Traka. 'We just used a bit of logic – if the concrete pipe points in that direction, we can find the end. We just poked it a bit.'
