Fans exploded in sheer excitement during England's Euro 2024 opener against Serbia on Sunday night . Huge crowds descended on the Victory Fan Park at Diecast, in the Northern Quarter, to watch the Gareth Southgate's side in hopeful anticipation.
And after the huge countdown to the match had commenced, the crowd then joined in boisterous song for 'Sweet Caroline' ahead of the long awaited kick-off. Plastered around the Northern Quarter venue were the words 'Road to Victory', the official name of one of the city's biggest Euros fan parks.. The excitement continued throughout the game as friends climbed on each other's shoulders and raised their drinks in the air.
England well and truly kicked off their Euro 2024 campaign with their 1-0 victory over Serbia. Next up for the Three Lions is a clash against Denmark at the Frankfurt Arena on Thursday evening.
